Idaho Youth Suicide
Prevention Program

The Idaho Youth Suicide Prevention Program (IYSPP), formerly the Idaho Lives Project, has partnered with BPA Health to provide free case management services to youth and young adults through age 24 who have attempted suicide or have received treatment for serious thoughts of suicide.

Follow-Up Support: Case Managers (CMs) are licensed behavioral health clinicians who advocate for and support youth as they rejoin their families, schools, and communities following a suicide attempt or treatment for serious suicidal thoughts. CMs provide connection among the youth, mental health providers, school, and family, and assist parents and guardians in accessing community resources.

Suicide Assessments: CMs also provide suicide assessments in cases where the youth or their families cannot otherwise get services due to lack of insurance, inability to afford services, or other barriers like geographic isolation or long waiting lists.

Request Services: See the link below under “Resources, Training, and Events” to request free case management and/or suicide assessment services for your child, yourself (ages 18-24), or to receive information on how to refer a student, client, or patient to the program.

If you have any questions, please call the BPA/IYSPP referral line Monday – Friday from 9 am to 5 pm
at (208) 947-5155 or email [email protected]

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, call 988.
